Seeking six young actors
6th-12th grade

Come ready to play and move! No monologue or song required.

Sunday, March 10th, at 2pm

Important notes for families: Rehearsals start in early April.
The play will run May 3-5, 2013 at the Cloverdale Playhouse.

Androcles and the Lion is a delightful play that has been performed around the world! In Commediatradition, a group of strolling players set up a stage and give their performance using authentic staging and stock characters of Commedia – the miserly Pantalone, guardian to Isabella, the bragging Capitano, the Lovers Isabella and Lelio, Androcles, Pantalone’s hapless servant, plus an endearing Lion, king of the jungle and narrator of the story- Aesop’s fable becomes a colorful theatrical experience. The play skyrockets with comedy and glows with the warmth of friendship.
